We’re Saving Lives Now, After We Sadly Couldn’t Save Olivia’s…

Youth bullying is often labelled as something that’s just a part of being young, “you just have to deal with it”.

“Toughen up.  What doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger”.

Unfortunately even the ones who have ‘toughened up’, aren’t killed. They sadly take their own lives when they simply can’t handle it anymore.  At Angels 4 Olivia, we’re making a difference by teaching kids to reach out rather than to ‘take it’ in silence.

Educating, Supporting And Giving A Voice To Those That Don’t Have One

Youth bullying (just like all bullying) is a painful and silent journey that so many people experience. Whilst it’s sometimes just a short-term experience, it often causes life long self-esteem issues.

Supporting those who are dealing with the trauma of bullying is much of what we do, but stopping bullying before it starts is where the biggest positive impact is made.

We put a lot of resources into educating young people about the damage that bullying causes, so that they make a better decision about how they interact with other young people in their lives, stopping bullying before it starts.

Stop Bullying

The Angel That Inspired It All

Olivia Penpraze was a lovely, smiling and charismatic young girl who was an inspiration to many.  Unlike many young people who are dealing with the awful trauma of bullying, she had taken it upon herself to make her daily struggles known online through her blog.

She made a remarkable difference to other young people by sharing her story, giving out messages of hope and putting her own tears on show for others to see that they weren’t alone in their pain.

Sadly, Olivia herself hit a point where she couldn’t cope anymore and decided to take her own life.

She was just 19.

The Workings Of Angels 4 Olivia

Our foundation was formed to ensure that Olivia’s death wasn’t in vain. We see the terrible effects of youth bullying on a daily basis and know that even if we can turn around a handful of lives through the work we do, it will make a difference.

But our aim is much bigger than that.  By educating youth by their thousands, assisting with anti-bullying campaigns in schools and working with teachers to develop prevention programmes, Olivia’s impact on the world has now become so much more than even she could have imagined.

Angels 4 Olivia provides a wide range of services that help prevent bullying in schools, as well as supporting those who’ve felt the impacts of it already:

  • Resources

“I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Angels Hope”

Hello Angels hope, I was going to write in person to you but trying to get pen to paper I found difficult.

I just wanted to say thankyou, thankyou for helping me and a huge thankyou to Chloe especially. My mum reached out to Reuben in 2012 after she was concerned for my mental health, Reuben then suggested I speak to Chloe. I didn’t want to talk about my feelings, I wanted my pain and hurt to end and I tried numerous times.

After talking to Chloe and meeting her, she made me realise only I can change things, the bullies may stay but I can change the effect they have on me. Thanks to Chloe’s guidance I got through the year and graduated from high school. 3 years on I am a single mum to a beautiful little boy, I did suffer from postnatal depression and still do.

I have good and bad days, It was tough to begin with but I just kept remembering Chloe telling me I cant let everything get to me, I cant let my own bad thoughts take charge, I have to be the boss. I think of 1 positive thing every day when I wake up and 1 positive thing of that day before bed. I am looking into studying
to become a paramedic but the one thing I want to do is share my story with others, tell them how I used to be and tell them how I changed my life and
changed how the bullies affected me.

If it wasn’t for Angels Hope, Reuben and Chloe I don’t think I would be here.
I wouldn’t have the life I live now.

So thankyou, thankyou for helping me.
